OnePlus Ace 3 Screen Technology In-Depth Analysis

It was reported earlier that the OnePlus Ace 3 is going to feature the leading Screen technology along with fingerprint technology. Here is the in-depth analysis of the OnePlus Ace 3’s screen technology from the recent event.

DisplayMate A+ Certified 1.5K Screen

The OnePlus Ace 3 features a 1.5K screen developed by BOE, which has achieved six major technological breakthroughs and twelve global firsts. It is the first domestically produced screen to receive DisplayMate A+ certification, excelling in display quality, smoothness, and eye protection.

Advanced Display Quality

The OnePlus Ace 3 employs a self-developed image quality engine, combined with OPPO’s Display P1 chip and high-precision pixel-level calibration algorithms, achieving independent calibration for each pixel. The screen has a JNCD (Just Noticeable Color Difference) value of about 0.35 and a low grayscale brightness uniformity of 75%, surpassing industry standards in clarity, color accuracy, and brightness.

High Brightness and Efficiency

The device uses BOE’s new X1 luminescent material, achieving peak brightness of 4500 nits, global maximum brightness of 1600 nits, and manual maximum brightness of 800 nits. It incorporates multi-channel load reduction technology and high-precision grayscale matrix algorithms, enhancing luminous efficiency while addressing power consumption.

8T LTPO Technology for Smoothness

The OnePlus Ace 3 utilizes advanced 8T LTPO technology, offering enhanced smoothness and solving app shadowing issues. It supports intelligent matching of the best hardware refresh rate, setting all apps to 120Hz.

The LTPO technology provides extreme smoothness during use and reduces resolution to 1Hz when idle, improving battery life.

Leading Industry Eye Protection

In collaboration with BOE, Zhejiang University, and the National Ophthalmology Diagnosis and Treatment Engineering Technology Research Center, OnePlus developed a new eye protection solution. The screen supports hardware-level low blue light, natural light display, dark light eye protection, and ultra-precise ambient light adaptability.

It features ‘Melatonin Protection Technology,’ which helps maintain the body’s melatonin levels, crucial for regulating sleep-wake cycles and improving sleep quality affected by screen use.

Overall Screen Experience

The OnePlus Ace 3’s 1.5K screen not only boasts flagship-level hardware parameters but also excels in development and tuning, offering a superior experience in display quality, smoothness, and eye protection.

The importance of screen quality in smartphone selection is undeniable, and the OnePlus Ace 3 excels in this aspect, likely to meet and exceed user expectations.
