Fast Technology reported that some netizens had previously photographed the OnePlus Ace 6 Pro Max packaging box at the airport, leading many to believe that this is the upcoming OnePlus phone with a Snapdragon 8 Gen5 processor.

According to the blogger Digital Chat Station, the new OnePlus phone with Snapdragon 8 Gen5 will not be called Ace 6 Pro Max, but will be named Ace 6T. The T here does not refer to Turbo, but to OnePlus’s pure performance genes, and OnePlus’s Turbo series is already on its way.

Compared to the OnePlus Ace 6, the OnePlus Ace 6T features a Snapdragon 8 Gen5 processor instead of the Snapdragon 8 Elite, a battery capacity exceeding 8000mAh, and will also bring a cool collaboration.

The blogger also revealed that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen5 chip will be officially released at the end of this month, and the new phone is expected to be unveiled in December.

According to leaks, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen5 was jointly defined by OnePlus and Qualcomm. This chip uses TSMC’s 3nm process (N3P), is equipped with an Oryon CPU consisting of 2*3.8GHz super cores + 6*3.32GHz large cores, and integrates an Adreno 840 GPU.

In terms of benchmark scores, the Snapdragon 8 Gen5 achieved a total AnTuTu score of over 3.3 million, a Geekbench 6 single-core score of 3,000, and a multi-core score of 10,000, with CPU performance basically on par with the Snapdragon 8 Elite.

Besides OnePlus, brands such as vivo, iQOO, moto, and Meizu will also use the Snapdragon 8 Gen5 chip in the future.
