blogger Digital Chat Station revealed that the product schedule of Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship platform Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (model SM8850) has been advanced, and in theory, the release time of the new iterative phone will be further advanced.

It is reported that the performance of Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 GPU will be significantly improved. It is built based on TSMC’s N3P process, which is TSMC’s third-generation 3nm process.

Previously, developers found traces of SM8850 in the HypeOS 2 code, which means that Xiaomi will be equipped with this chip. As usual, the Xiaomi 16 series will most likely be the first to launch the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2.

According to leaked information, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip will continue to use the cluster design of the first-generation CPU, still with a 2P+6E configuration, but the main frequency will be increased again and the performance will reach new highs.

Finally, let’s review the parameter configuration of the Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition: The Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition is equipped with Qualcomm’s self-developed second-generation custom Oryon architecture CPU, with two “super cores” and six “performance cores”.

Among them, the main frequency of the two “super cores” is 4.32GHz, and the main frequency of the six “performance cores” is 3.53GHz. Compared with the previous generation, the single-core and multi-core performance of the Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition have been improved by 45%.
