Samsung Announces US Release Dates for Galaxy A26 and A36

Samsung has officially confirmed the US release dates for its mid-range smartphones, the Galaxy A26 and Galaxy A36. Announced ahead of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona on March 2, these devices will join the Galaxy A56 to expand Samsung’s mid-tier lineup. Here’s everything you need to know about their release, pricing, and features.

Galaxy A26 and Galaxy A36 Release Dates and Pricing

The Galaxy A36 will hit US stores on March 26. It will be available in two colors—Awesome Black and Awesome Lavender—with an additional Awesome Lime color exclusively sold at Best Buy. It comes with 128GB of storage but does not include a microSD expansion slot.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy A26 will launch in the US on March 28. It will only come in black, but it offers 256GB of storage and a microSD slot for additional expansion.

Pricing for the two phones is as follows:

  • Galaxy A26 (256GB): $299.99
  • Galaxy A36 (128GB): $399

Galaxy A26 and A36 Specs and Features

Both devices share several standout features. They come with IP67 water and dust resistance, Gorilla Glass Victus+ on both the front and back, and a sharp 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display. Both pack a long-lasting 5,000 mAh battery and include the latest Android 15 with One UI 7, promising six years of software updates and intelligent features like an object eraser.

The Galaxy A26 is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1380 chip—the same processor used in last year’s Galaxy A35. In contrast, the Galaxy A36 gets a performance boost with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip, offering approximately 8% faster CPU performance.

The A36 also supports 45W super fast charging, compared to the 25W charging on the A26. It has a new 12MP front-facing camera with 10-bit HDR recording and a brighter display that can reach up to 1200 nits, while the A26 display maxes out at 1000 nits.

Galaxy A56 Coming Soon

Samsung also confirmed that the Galaxy A56 will be available in the US, though the release date is yet to be announced. Stay tuned for updates on when you can get your hands on this device.
