Samsung Galaxy S26 debuts with Exynos 2600: the first 2nm mobile chip

During Samsung’s quarterly earnings call, Daniel Araujo, Vice President of Samsung’s Mobile Experience Division, stated that the Galaxy S26 series will be user-centric, bringing next-generation artificial intelligence, a second-generation custom AP (application processor), and a brand-new camera sensor, completely revolutionizing the user experience.

Daniel Araujo’s statement indicates that the Galaxy S26 series will be the world’s first to feature the Exynos 2600 chip, the world’s first 2nm mobile phone chip, marking the official entry of the Android camp into the 2nm era.

It is understood that the Galaxy S26 series will continue the dual-platform strategy, with some models equipped with the Exynos 2600 and others equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Ultra for Galaxy.

The Exynos 2600 uses Samsung’s 2nm process and features a 10-core design. The CPU includes one 3.80GHz super core, three 3.26GHz large cores, and six 2.76GHz cores. Its single-core score exceeds 3400 points, and its multi-core score exceeds 11,000 points.

Compared to the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Ultra, the Exynos 2600’s single-core performance is inferior, but its multi-core performance is close to that of the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Ultra, making it Samsung’s most powerful mobile chip to date.

The device will be officially released in March next year.
