Samsung Galaxy S27 series unveiled: Four models launched, all equipped with 2nm chips

The Samsung Galaxy S27 series has officially received GSMA certification. The series includes four models: Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27 Plus, Galaxy S27 Pro, and Galaxy S27 Ultra, with corresponding model numbers SM-S952B, SM-S956B, SM-S957B, and SM-S958B, respectively.

All four models will be equipped with 2nm process chips, but the source of the chips will vary depending on the version – some versions will be equipped with the Exynos 2700 manufactured by Samsung’s 2nm process, while other versions will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8E6 Pro manufactured by TSMC’s 2nm process.

In terms of performance, the Snapdragon version is more outstanding overall. This chip is equipped with a self-developed Oryon CPU, featuring an octa-core architecture (2+3+3), and supports LPDDR6 memory and UFS 5.0 flash storage. Its overall specifications are among the best in the Android camp, making it one of the most powerful mobile chips currently available.

Besides the highlight of all models featuring 2nm chips, the Samsung Galaxy S27 series also sees a significant change in its screen supplier. According to reports, due to cost pressures from soaring memory chip prices, Samsung is considering bringing in BOE as its screen supplier.

For a long time, the Galaxy S series used 100% Samsung-made OLED screens. This shift to a third-party supplier shows that the quality and technology of domestically produced OLED panels have been highly recognized by leading brands.

Based on Samsung’s usual product release schedule, the Galaxy S27 series is expected to be officially unveiled in the first half of next year. With the release of certification information, more details regarding the series’ configuration and pricing strategy are also expected to emerge soon.
