Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 leaked ahead of schedule.

Fast Technology reported that developers have discovered traces of the next-generation foldable flagship Galaxy Z Flip8 deep within the code of Samsung’s One UI. The model number of this highly anticipated new device has been confirmed as SM-F776U .

According to developers, Samsung is currently working intensively on the new One UI 9 system. As is customary, the Galaxy Z Flip8 will be officially unveiled at this summer’s launch event, featuring this deeply customized system based on Android 16.

In terms of core specifications, the Galaxy Z Flip8 will be the first to feature Samsung’s self-developed Exynos 2600 chip. This is not only Samsung’s first mobile chip manufactured using a 2nm process, but it also marks the Galaxy Z Flip8 as the industry’s first foldable flagship to use a 2nm chip.

According to data disclosed by GeekBench, the Exynos 2600 adopts a powerful 10-core architecture. Its CPU consists of one C1-Ultra super core with a clock speed of up to 3.8GHz, three C1-Pro large cores at 3.25GHz, and six C1-Pro medium cores at 2.75GHz. For graphics processing, the chip integrates the new Xclipse 960 GPU and fully supports LPDDR5X high-speed memory.

In terms of performance, the Exynos 2600 represents a significant leap forward compared to its predecessor, the Exynos 2500. Its CPU computing performance is enhanced by 39%, and GPU performance by up to 50%. Most impressively, its NPU performance sees a massive jump of up to 113%.

This exquisitely designed compact foldable flagship is expected to debut alongside the large foldable king, the Galaxy Z Fold8. With the addition of its self-developed 2nm chip, Samsung’s foldable screen product line this year will undoubtedly demonstrate stronger competitiveness in terms of performance and power consumption balance.
