Samsung is expected to launch its first tri-fold mobile phone this year, and the model of related products has appeared in the database of the GSM Association.

The model numbers of this tri-fold device are “SM-F968N” and “SM-F9680”, and it may only be sold in the Chinese and Korean markets.

Judging from Samsung’s past product model patterns, products with the model suffix “N” are usually sold in the Korean market, while models with the suffix “0” are sold in the Chinese market.

This strategy may be related to the low initial production volume. Samsung may take a more conservative approach and choose to sell in the Korean and Chinese markets to test market demand.

In addition, this strategy helps Samsung better control market risks while focusing resources on optimizing product performance and user experience.

However, Huawei has taken the lead in launching a tri-fold mobile phone, which makes Samsung’s upcoming tri-fold mobile phone face certain competitive pressure. It may need to make certain trade-offs in price and provide better user experience and higher durability in order to stand out in the market.
