In September, Qualcomm introduced its flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and just two days ago it unveiled a non-Elite version as well. Among upcoming devices, the OnePlus 15R which will officially launch on December 17, is set to be the first smartphone outside China to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, promising cutting edge performance for users worldwide.

Qualcomm has officially confirmed that Motorola will soon announce a new smartphone featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. So far, the Lenovo-owned company has not shared any official details about the device. However, well known tipster Evan Blass has revealed that the upcoming Motorola smartphone codenamed “Urus,” will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, promising high end performance and advanced features for users worldwide.

Evan Blass has revealed that the upcoming Motorola smartphone codenamed “Urus” will be a non-foldable flagship device and will most likely carry the brand name Edge 70 Ultra. Meanwhile, for those interested in a Motorola device that uses the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, that device could be likely the Razr 70 Ultra, indicating that the company is planning multiple high end phones for different user preferences.

At present, the Motorola Edge 70 series consists of just a single smartphone: the Edge 70, which was unveiled last month. It is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor and has a 6.7-inch 120Hz display with a resolution of 1,220p delivering smooth scrolling and clear visuals. It comes with a 4,800 mAh battery, which should easily last throughout a day of moderate to heavy usage. The Edge 70 comes with a triple 50MP camera setup including one front and two on the rear cameras for capturing high quality photos and videos. With 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, the Edge 70 is priced at £799 offering a well-rounded mid-range smartphone experience for those looking for performance, display quality and battery life.
