The 20th anniversary iPhone may be Apple’s first curved phone: featuring wraparound glass
The 20th anniversary edition of the iPhone has attracted attention recently. It is reported that 2027 is the 20th anniversary of the birth of the iPhone, and Apple is developing an extremely innovative 20th anniversary commemorative edition of the iPhone.
According to leaks, this iPhone will adopt an integrated surround glass design, similar to Xiaomi’s surround screen mobile phone of the year, with the screen extending to the middle frame. This will also be Apple’s first curved screen mobile phone.
Coincidentally, iOS 26, which was just released this year, also has liquid glass as its theme. Perhaps Apple is preparing for this 20th anniversary edition of the iPhone. The combination of the two will subvert the current form of mobile phones.

It is worth noting that this was also Jobs’ ultimate goal when he created the iPhone.
Many years ago, Steve Jobs and former Apple chief designer Jony Ive came up with the design concept of “seamless connection”, hoping that the iPhone would be a device without any borders, a simple and clean piece of glass.
Simplify and remove unnecessary things so that users can use their phones more intuitively, naturally and smoothly.
It is also based on this goal that Apple canceled the Home button on the tenth anniversary model iPhone X, introduced the Face ID mechanism, created the first full-screen iPhone, and now has the Smart Island hole, all of which are moving towards the ultimate goal.
If the 20th anniversary iPhone really adopts a wraparound glass design, it will undoubtedly be a brilliant tribute to Jobs’s philosophy.
