Apple has adjusted its product release cycle this year. The iPhone 17e will be released in the first half of 2026, the iPhone 18 Pro series and iPhone Fold will be launched in the second half of the year, and the standard version of the iPhone 18 will be released in the first half of 2027.

For consumers, the most anticipated new product this year is the iPhone Fold, Apple’s first foldable flagship. According to bloggers, the iPhone Fold will be unveiled in September, featuring a new generation screen, a new generation of Apple-developed chips, and a new generation of foldable OS.

The screen is one of the biggest highlights of the iPhone Fold. The external screen is 5.25 inches and the internal screen is 7.58 inches. As shown in the rendering, unlike the conventional iPhone candybar phones, the iPhone Fold uses an under-display (UDC) solution for the internal screen.

This time, the iPhone Fold hides the front camera under the screen and eliminates Face ID, making it Apple’s first true full-screen iPhone. In order to achieve secure payment-grade biometric authentication, fingerprint recognition (Touch ID), which was previously abandoned by Apple phones, has returned to the iPhone Fold.

In addition, the iPhone Fold will be the first to feature the 2nm A20 Pro chip, a dual 48MP rear camera setup, and a battery capacity exceeding 5000mAh.

It’s worth mentioning that another advantage of the iPhone Fold is the iOS system. Apple will deeply adapt it for this large-screen device, and the software experience is something to look forward to.
