Honor Magic9 series will be officially released on September 28. The new phone will be upgraded in terms of appearance, imaging, AI and operating system.

Today, Honor continued to tease the Magic9 series, announcing that the new phone supports the industry’s only cinematic-grade gun microphone, emphasizing stronger long-distance sound pickup and sound focusing capabilities.

According to reports, the Honor Magic9 series can clearly pick up musical instruments and human voices within 20 meters, increasing the sound pickup distance by 300%; it also supports ±60° sound focusing, increasing sound pickup sensitivity by 158%, further enhancing the on-site sound recording performance during video shooting.

In terms of product lineup, the Honor Magic9 series will bring three models: Honor Magic9 Pro Max, Honor Magic9, and Honor Magic9 Super Edition.

The Honor Magic9 Pro Max will feature a 200MP ARRI gimbal-grade main camera with a 1/1.28-inch ultra-large sensor; it will also be equipped with a 200MP ARRI Ultra Night Telephoto lens with a 1/1.4-inch sensor, further upgrading its resolution and optical image stabilization.

In addition, the new camera will support ARRI color science, including AWG3 wide color gamut, ARRI’s official full look suite, APV lossless encoding, and ARRI LogC3 video pipeline capabilities.

In terms of appearance design, the camera module of the Honor Magic9 series draws on the design elements of the ARRIFLEX series cinema cameras, incorporating the classic “three-lens turret” structure into the back design. The three round cameras are arranged in a “1+2” triangle, further enhancing the cinematic style of the whole device.
