The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 weighs only 201g: lighter than the iPhone 17 Pro.

Samsung will release the Galaxy Z Fold8 in July, which will be the first flagship model in the Android camp with a wide folding form factor.

According to the latest leak from blogger iIceUniverse, the Galaxy Z Fold8 weighs only 201g, making it the lightest large folding screen product ever. It feels exceptionally light in your hand, without the heaviness of previous large folding models.

This weight is significantly lighter than many mainstream flagship smartphones, such as the iPhone 17 Pro which weighs 204g and the iPhone 17 Pro Max which weighs 231g. The fatigue from holding it with one hand for a long time to browse content is much greater than that of this new foldable phone.

Not only is the weight extremely lightweight, but the Galaxy Z Fold8 is also only 4.5mm thick on one side when fully unfolded, which is thinner than expected. It won’t feel bulky or foreign when stuffed into a thin pocket.

In terms of core configuration, the Galaxy Z Fold8 has a 7.6-inch inner screen and a 5.4-inch outer screen. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Ultra flagship mobile platform and features a dual-camera setup with a 50-megapixel main camera and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, which is sufficient to meet most daily shooting needs.

It’s worth mentioning that the Galaxy Z Fold8 has made a breakthrough in screen crease control, which is of utmost concern to consumers. Its tuning level has reached the top level of the OPPO Find N6, placing it among the top tier in the industry. When used in daily life, the crease is almost imperceptible.
