The world’s first 2nm chip! Samsung confirms: Exynos 2600 is the first to use 2nm GAA process

Samsung has confirmed that the Exynos 2600 will be the first flagship chipset manufactured using the latest 2nm GAA process.

Samsung said the Exynos 2600 has significantly improved NPU performance over older models and enhanced support for on-device AI features.

It is worth noting that at present, the next-generation flagships of Apple, MediaTek, Qualcomm, and Xiaomi still maintain the 3nm process. Samsung Exynos 2600 will become the first 2nm chip, which may bring considerable advantages.

According to the running score, the Samsung Exynos 2600’s 3DMark Steel Nomad Light benchmark score is as high as 3135 points, which is about 15% higher than the Snapdragon 8 Elite.

It is reported that Exynos 2600 adopts a 1+3+6 deca-core design, with the main frequency of the super core being 3.55GHz, the main frequency of the large core being 2.96GHz, and the main frequency of the small core being 2.46GHz.

It seems that Samsung is determined to avenge its previous defeat this time.

The current flagship Exynos 2500 was just launched on the Galaxy Z Flip7 some time ago, but in fact this chip was originally planned to be installed on the Galaxy S25 series, more than a year later.

Mainly due to yield issues encountered during the production process, Samsung eventually had to abandon the chip and switch to Snapdragon 8 Elite.

However, its performance is now at the bottom, even worse than Xiaomi Xuanjie O1. The two use similar architecture and are both 3nm, but Xuanjie O1 has stronger running points and performance.

Exynos 2500 has one more A725 core than Xuanjie O1, but one less X925 super core, and the frequency of both the super core and the large core are lower than Xuanjie O1.
