The world’s first wide-profile foldable phone! Huawei Pura X2 is getting a name change.
According to a report by blogger Dingjiao Digital on March 28, Huawei’s new Pura X model, to be released next month, will be renamed. The new naming method is not yet confirmed, but it will not continue to be called Pura X2.
This new phone will be the world’s first horizontally foldable phone with a large size. The proportions are similar to the previous generation, but the size has been significantly increased.
The inner screen is 7.69 inches WQHD+, while the outer screen is 5.5 inches. The inner screen can display more content, while the outer screen is relatively more practical.

Multiple sources have confirmed that the foldable iPhone will also use a similar design, with an unfolded aspect ratio similar to a tablet, and will be released in September.
Both, when unfolded, resemble tablets, but offer more comprehensive and abundant app compatibility and a better software experience.
In addition to the size change, the Pura X2 will also be upgraded to the Kirin 9030 chip, the same chip used in the Huawei Mate 80 series, which adopts a brand-new 9-core architecture and significantly improves performance.
In terms of imaging, it is expected to be equipped with a red maple quad-camera system, including a 50-megapixel main camera, a 40-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 1.5-megapixel multispectral channel red maple primary color camera.
In contrast, the Huawei Pura X features a 6.3-inch inner screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a 3.5-inch square outer screen with a 1:1 aspect ratio. It also has a triple rear camera setup (50MP main camera + 40MP ultra-wide-angle + 8MP telephoto) and supports the Red Maple Imaging System.
It has a built-in 4720mAh battery, supports 66W wired fast charging and 40W wireless fast charging, and has a starting price of 7499 yuan.
