The Xiaomi MIX Fold 5 will debut with its own next-generation Xuanjie processor!

According to Fast Technology on June 11, based on various leaks from the digital industry, Xiaomi’s upcoming top-of-the-line foldable flagship MIX Fold 5 is very likely to be the first device to feature Xiaomi’s new self-developed 3nm Xuanjie processor.

According to the latest industry news, the new generation of foldable screen phone Xiaomi MIX Fold 5 will still be firmly aimed at the high-end flagship market, and is expected to be officially released in the third quarter of 2026.

Based on the currently disclosed information about the engineering prototype, the final product design of the Xiaomi MIX Fold 5 has been basically finalized.

It is expected to feature an inward-folding screen ranging from 7.5 to 7.6 inches, equipped with Xiaomi’s latest iteration of crease optimization technology, and the main camera of the rear imaging module will be upgraded to a 200-megapixel specification.

In terms of battery life, the new phone is expected to have a built-in super-large battery with a capacity of nearly 6000mAh, and will also support wireless charging. The daily unlocking solution will be a side fingerprint recognition, which balances unlocking efficiency and the overall slim and light feel of the phone.

As for the new generation of Xuanjie processor, which has attracted much attention from many digital enthusiasts, it is said that it is built entirely on the advanced 3nm process. Its overall core performance has been significantly improved compared to the previous generation of self-developed chips, and its power consumption performance in all scenarios has also been optimized and improved.

“The Xuanjie O1 is a 3nm flagship SoC. There are only four companies in the world that can make flagship SoCs, and Xiaomi is the only one in mainland China,” Lei Jun once said.

Regarding the price, which is of utmost concern to many potential consumers, the final price of the Xiaomi MIX Fold 5 will most likely be around 10,000 yuan.

For reference, the starting price of the previous generation Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 was 8,999 yuan. Coupled with the industry background of the continuous rise in the cost of upstream core components this year, it is indeed difficult for leading mobile phone manufacturers to support the continued high investment in R&D and maintain normal operation if they do not make appropriate price adjustments to their high-end product lines.
