vivo’s first Android 16 Beta version is officially launched: supports X200 Pro and iQOO 13

vivo officially announced today that the first Android 16 Beta version is officially launched, and the first batch supports X200 Pro and iQOO 13.

However, it is currently only for developers to help developers experience the features of the new version first and develop corresponding functions. It is strongly not recommended for ordinary users to download and use it.

Installing the developer preview version on a vivo device will cause data loss in the phone, so be sure to back up your data before upgrading.

The steps for manually burning the firmware take iQOO 13 as an example, as follows:

(1) Download the iQOO 13 developer preview version software package firmware.

(2) After the device is connected to the computer, switch the phone’s USB settings to file transfer mode and copy the downloaded software package firmware to the iQOO 13 phone storage root directory.

(3) Follow the above steps, click the upgrade package in Settings->System Upgrade->Local Upgrade, and start the upgrade after the verification is completed.

(4) Wait for the phone to automatically upgrade.

The official also announced the known issues of the two current models:

vivo X200 Pro:

1. Return to the desktop. Desktop applications may not be displayed. Click the home button again to restore them.

2. Some functions and settings of fingerprint and face unlocking have a high probability of failure

3. Some settings and built-in applications may crash with a low probability

4. The system has a low probability restart problem

5. Some third-party compatibility issues

iQOO 13:

1. Low probability of crash

2. Blue Heart Little V crashes

3. Recent tasks are displayed as empty and the function is temporarily unavailable

4. After unlocking, no icons are displayed on the desktop. Press the home button to restore.

5. Return to the desktop from the application. The desktop application may not be displayed. Click the home button again to restore it.

6. Click on the desktop to enter a certain application, press the home button to exit to the desktop, and then click the application icon to enter. The application will flash back to the desktop with probability.
