Xiaomi Civi 4 Specifications Exposed With Snapdragon 8 Series And Leica Cobranding
According to a report from a Weibo leaker on March 1st, the specifications for the rumored Xiaomi Civi 4 have been revealed. The device is expected to launch around May, featuring an unprecedented upgrade in positioning.
The Xiaomi Civi 4 lineup will include more than one model, offering choices between a pure flat screen and a 2.7D slightly curved screen, both with 1.5K resolution and equipped with eye protection technology.
In terms of imaging, the device will see an epic upgrade, featuring a 50-megapixel main camera and incorporating flagship-level imaging co-branding, specifically a Leica custom design.
Additionally, the phone will come with a battery larger than 5000mAh and support for hundred-watt level fast charging.
The high-end version will have a metal frame and glass body, aligning its overall external specifications with the Xiaomi 14 flagship series.
Interestingly, the device’s network entry information labels it as a “satellite mobile terminal,” indicating support for the Tiantong satellite communication standard, enabling satellite messaging and calls. However, this feature might not be standard across all models.
Most importantly, the Xiaomi Civi 4 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 series flagship platform, “SM8635,” expected to be officially named Snapdragon 8S Gen3. It shares its lineage with the Snapdragon 8 Gen3, featuring a CPU configuration of 1×3.01GHz X4+4×2.61GHz A720+3×1.84GHz A520 and an Adreno 735 GPU.
Compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen3’s 3.3GHz CPU frequency, the Snapdragon 8S Gen3 offers a slightly lower frequency, which should result in better battery life and thermal performance.
