Xiaomi Mi 16 first release! Surge OS 3 release date reportedly advanced

Blogger Digital Chat Station stated that Qualcomm’s iterative chips will be released ahead of schedule, and the new system will also be released first.

It is reported that Qualcomm will hold the Snapdragon Summit from September 23 to September 25 to officially release the flagship platform Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. The Xiaomi 16 series will be the first model and the new product will also be unveiled in September.

As Xiaomi’s annual flagship, the Xiaomi 16 series will debut the new Surge OS 3 system, about one month earlier than last year. The new OS is expected to be deeply customized based on Android 16.

In October last year, Xiaomi launched Surge OS 2, which was first launched in the Xiaomi 15 series. It is equipped with Xiaomi’s deeply self-developed HyperCore Surge kernel, covering four core technologies of performance, graphics, network and security, aiming to provide a light and smooth experience, super performance and ultra-low power consumption.

In conjunction with the new Xiaomi dynamic memory technology and Xiaomi Renewal Storage 2.0, the Surge OS 2 system has achieved a comprehensive upgrade of the three underlying technologies of scheduler, memory management and storage management.
