Xiaomi MIX Fold 5 foldable screen receives certification: debuting self-developed 3nm O3 chip.
Fast Technology reported that several new Xiaomi phones have recently passed market access certifications in various overseas regions, including the upcoming foldable flagship Xiaomi MIX Fold 5 and the global version of the REDMI Note 17 series, which will be sold in the global market. The overseas launch process for both models has entered the final preparation stage.
Public certification information shows that the device with model number 2608BPX34C has obtained all the official qualifications required for domestic sales. This model corresponds to the long-awaited Xiaomi MIX Fold 5, indicating that the domestic release of this flagship model has been scheduled for the near future.
Based on the leaked images, this foldable phone features a wider design than its predecessor, with overall proportions very similar to the Samsung Z Fold8 and the yet-to-be-released Apple iPhone Ultra. The unfolded inner screen has a diagonal size of 7.6 inches, resulting in a significantly higher visual ratio than its predecessor.
A wider body ratio means that the usable display area of the external screen will be significantly increased when the device is folded. Users can browse more content on the external screen without unfolding the device, which will likely improve the convenience of daily use and solve the common pain point of limited content display on the external screen of the previous vertically elongated foldable screens.
Based on previously leaked supply chain information, this new flagship foldable screen is expected to be unveiled in August or September this year. In addition to being the first to feature Xiaomi’s self-developed 3nm process new Xuanjie processor, the final model will most likely be named Xuanjie O3. The imaging and screen configurations will also be brought to the top tier of domestic foldable screens.

For reference, the official starting price of the previous generation Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 was 8,999 yuan.
