Realme GT8 aims to be the strongest standard version Wang Wei: Great value for money

Wang Wei, president of realme product line, wrote an article explaining why realme GT8 wants to challenge the strongest standard version.

He stated that the standard shouldn’t be mediocrity. For years, industry practice has been to categorize products into “medium,” “large,” and “extra-large.” This division is reasonable, based on user insights and designed to meet the needs of different levels of users. However, compromising on medium, or the standard version, just to make large and extra-large cups more appealing is not a genuine attitude.

The simultaneous establishment and launch of GT8 and GT8 Pro not only puts our project management capabilities to the test, but also presents a difficult product design challenge for our team: how to strike a balance between the standard and Pro versions, making both competitive and popular with users?

The answer is obvious: rejecting the mediocre standard version and achieving a comprehensive leap in standard version product strength. This is why we see so many Pro-like and super-standard configurations on the GT8: the same Ricoh GR imaging system as the Pro, and the only periscope + dual-core + 2K straight screen in its class.

This is the GT8 that challenges the strongest standard version, and this is Realme’s latest generation of true flagship GT8 series: no matter whether you ultimately choose GT8 or GT8 Pro, you will get a dual-engine flagship experience of performance and imaging that is worth the money.

It is reported that the realme GT8 uses the same 2K straight screen as the Pro, is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition chip, and has a built-in independent gaming graphics chip R1, a rear 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, a 7000mAh battery, supports IP69+IP68+IP66 full-level dust and water resistance, supports ultrasonic screen fingerprints, and has a metal middle frame, which gives it a full sense of texture.

The phone will be unveiled on October 21.
