REDMI Turbo 5 specifications released: first to launch Dimensity 8500
Blogger Digital Chat Station revealed that the REDMI Turbo 5 uses a 6.5-inch LTPS medium-sized straight screen, a 7500mAh battery, supports 100W wired flash charging, is equipped with a metal middle frame, an optical under-screen fingerprint, and supports IP68 dust and water resistance.
In addition, REDMI Turbo 5 will be the first to be equipped with the Dimensity 8500 processor, which will be MediaTek’s most powerful Dimensity 8 series chip.
In December last year, the Dimensity 8400 was officially unveiled, first launched by REDMI Turbo 4. This chip adopts the same full-core architecture design as the flagship, with 8 Arm Cortex-A725 large cores with a main frequency of up to 3.25GHz, and the second-level cache is doubled and the third-level cache is increased by 50%.
Compared with Dimensity 8300, the multi-core performance of the Dimensity 8400 CPU is improved by 41%, and relying on precise energy efficiency control technology, the multi-core power consumption of the Dimensity 8400 CPU is reduced by 44%.
After a year, the Dimensity 8500 is about to debut. This chip is manufactured based on TSMC’s 4nm process, still uses an all-big core architecture, and integrates a Mali-G720 GPU. The AnTuTu score is set at 2 million points.
In addition to REDMI, brands such as Honor, Blue Factory, and Ouga will also use this processor.
