The vivo S50 series is confirmed to be released in December, and the official team has recently begun to promote it.

vivo product manager Han Boxiao revealed the imaging specifications today: the entire S50 series will be equipped with the Sony IMX882 large-sensor periscope lens, which has the largest 1/1.95-inch sensor in its class, a configuration used by many flagship phones.

In addition, the S50 series is equipped with the same clear and natural portrait algorithm as the flagship model, which maximizes the preservation of facial details, does not absorb makeup or add moles, and fully preserves the real texture, avoiding “AI over-processing” that makes people look like mannequins.

Han Boxiao stated frankly that the flagship-level large sensor telephoto lens, combined with the same portrait algorithm as the flagship, makes the S50 series a “telephoto live-action artifact”.

It is understood that the vivo S50 series includes two models, the S50 and the S50 Pro mini, with sizes of 6.59 inches and 6.31 inches respectively.

Equipped with second-generation 3D ultrasonic fingerprint recognition, it is the first model in its price range to be equipped with this feature across the entire series. It has three major advantages: instant unlocking with wet hands, non-glaring unlocking in low light, and a higher unlocking position for easier access.

The vivo S50 Pro mini is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen5 platform, making it the world’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen5 small-screen flagship.

In addition, all models come standard with LPDDR5X memory, and it has a full speed of 9600Mbps. The storage uses UFS4.1, so the performance is maximized.

According to the 3C certification of the vivo S50 series, the series will support 90W fast charging technology.

In terms of design, it maintains a simple and slim design while adopting a more mainstream lens module design, which enhances the overall texture while maintaining aesthetics.
