Honor Magic9 series screen prototypes have been produced
Fast Technology reported that the Honor Magic8 RSR Porsche Design, a collaboration between Honor and Porsche Design, was officially released on January 19th, with a starting price of 7999 yuan.
While launching its new flagship, Honor is also working diligently on the next-generation flagship, the Honor Magic9 series. According to a blogger, the screens for the Honor Magic9 series have already begun testing. This time, Honor is testing two screens, a 6.36-inch and a 6.85-inch, both adopting a flat screen design, bidding farewell to the equal-depth micro-curved screen.
The Honor Magic9 standard edition features a 6.36-inch screen, while the Honor Magic9 Pro and Honor Magic9 Pro Max feature a 6.85-inch large screen. This is the first time the Honor Magic series has included a Pro Max version.
As is customary, the Honor Magic9 series will be among the first to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen6 series flagship platform, which uses TSMC’s 2nm N2P process. This is Honor’s first high-end flagship to use a 2nm chip.
Leaks indicate that, thanks to TSMC’s more advanced manufacturing process, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen6 series chipset will achieve higher frequencies, with its super-core CPU clock speed exceeding 5GHz, making it the mobile chip with the highest CPU clock speed in the industry. In comparison, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5’s CPU clock speed is 4.61GHz.
In addition, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen6 series adopts a brand-new 2+3+3 architecture design, which is an adjustment compared to the previous generation’s “2+6” architecture, and its performance will reach new heights.
The device will be officially unveiled in Q3 of this year.
