One UI 6 With Android 14 Reaches Galaxy A23 5G
Samsung is expanding the reach of its One UI 6 (Android 14) update to include the Galaxy A23 5G, targeting several European markets such as the UK, France, Italy, Poland, and Portugal. This update, identified by the firmware version A236BXXU4DWKA, also incorporates the November 2023 security patch.
The Galaxy A23 5G is set to receive Android 14 as its final major operating system upgrade. However, it is expected that the device will also get the One UI 6.1 update next year, after which Samsung will shift its focus to providing only security updates for this model.
Meanwhile, the LTE variant of the Galaxy A23 is currently operating on Android 13, but it is anticipated that it will soon be updated to Android 14 as well. Users in regions where the update for either the Galaxy A23 or Galaxy A23 5G becomes available can download it over the air. This can be done by navigating to the phone’s Settings, then to the Software update menu, and selecting the Download and Install option.
Additionally, the Android 14 firmware for the Galaxy A23 5G, along with other Galaxy devices eligible for One UI 6, can be downloaded from Samsung’s firmware archive. Users can then install the update on their device using a Windows PC and a USB cable.
