ROG 9 unveiled: the only Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition phone with a central architecture
ROG gaming phone 9 series was officially unveiled.
As ROG’s most powerful gaming flagship, ROG 9 is the first to be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition processor. The ROG engineering team places the SoC at the center and uses a dual-core battery to optimize the cooling architecture.
According to the official introduction, this axially symmetrical layout avoids heat concentration and is conducive to fast and efficient heat dissipation. When playing games in horizontal mode, the heat generating area is far away from the grip area, making the hand feel comfortable.
When players use a cool fan, the SoC is located directly below the semiconductor cooling chip, and an additional Type-C interface is provided on the side of the phone, which can not only be used for charging, allowing players to charge and play in landscape mode without blocking their hands, but can also be used to connect accessories such as cool fans.
In addition to being equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition, the entire ROG 9 series is equipped with 9600Mb/s LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 ROM. The standard version of ROG 9 offers a maximum memory combination of 16GB+512GB, and the ROG 9 Pro offers a maximum memory combination of 24GB+1TB.
In terms of imaging, ROG 9 Pro has a 32MP front camera and a 50MP main camera + 13MP ultra-wide-angle + 32MP telephoto camera at the back. Both the telephoto and main cameras support OIS optical image stabilization.
