Built by OmniVision Group! Domestic 1-inch sensor exposed: Honor’s first global release

blogger Digital Chat Station hinted that Honor is working closely with OmniVision Group. The brand is testing OmniVision Group’s 50-megapixel 1/1.3-inch and 50-megapixel 1-inch sensors. Both main cameras support LOFIC technology, which provides a huge image upgrade.

Among them, the 50-megapixel 1-inch sensor is the most powerful sensor of the OmniVision Group and the largest domestic sensor to date, supporting the latest LOFIC technology (lateral overflow integral capacitor).

The principle of LOFIC technology is as follows: a high-density capacitor is placed at each photodiode position of the mobile phone sensor to collect photoelectrons that may overflow due to excessive light.

When the number of photoelectrons converted by the photodiode exceeds the capacity, the excess photoelectrons will flow into the adjacent capacitor, so that the photoelectrons are not lost due to overexposure.

With such a design, the sensor can capture and retain more highlight information when shooting highlight scenes. The experience that this design brings to C-end users is that the actual effect of the photos taken is closer to the light and shadow scenes in the real world.

From the perspective of positioning, this 1-inch image sensor from OmniVision Group will be first installed in the Honor Magic series flagship, which is worth looking forward to.
