Fast Technology reported that Coolpad’s official flagship store on JD.com issued an official apology statement, announcing a delay in the delivery of the Coolpad COOL X Wide, originally scheduled for November 8th, but now shipping will begin gradually from November 15th.

As compensation for the delay, the official website will upgrade the exclusive benefits for users who purchased the one-yuan benefit package before November 8, 2026, adding a one-year replacement-only service and upgrading the original one-year extended warranty to a three-year extended warranty.

The official statement said the delay was due to objective factors affecting production and shipping. They will carefully analyze the issues, further optimize supply chain management, production coordination and inventory arrangements, and strive to improve product delivery efficiency and service quality.

The Coolpad COOL X Wide is the first wide candybar phone in the Android camp. It features a 6.38-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 720 x 1158 and supports a 90Hz refresh rate. It adopts a 16:10 aspect ratio, which is wider and provides more horizontal display space compared to the mainstream 20:9 elongated screen.

The device measures 150.3mm high, 94.5mm wide, and 8.95mm thick, weighs approximately 209g, features a horizontal racetrack-style camera module with a coolpad logo, and is available in three colors.

The overall design is very similar to the Huawei Pura X View, continuing the wide, straight design pioneered by Huawei, but with a price point in the thousand-yuan range.

It features a MediaTek Helio G99 octa-core processor, a mid-to-low-end 4G chip released in May 2022 using TSMC’s 6nm process, positioned for practicality rather than performance flagship.

It has a built-in 4600mAh battery, supports 18W fast charging, and features a 50-megapixel main rear camera.

Three versions are available: 8GB+128GB for 999 yuan, 8GB+256GB for 1199 yuan, and 12GB+256GB for 1399 yuan.
