Details of Huawei’s Starburst Wide-Screen Phone Revealed: 6.39-inch 1.5K Screen, Runway Deco Design
Fast Technology reported that digital blogger “Digital Chat Station” revealed more design details of a new 6.39-inch wide candybar phone. The new phone is expected to be the first wide candybar phone under Huawei’s Starlight brand.
According to reports, the device will be equipped with a 6.39-inch 1.5K LTPS flat screen with an expected aspect ratio of 16:9.5 and an ultra-narrow four-sided equal bezel design of about 1.05mm.
This screen ratio is the same as the Huawei Pura X View wide candybar phone. Compared to traditional candybar phones, the body ratio is wider, providing more horizontal display space.
In terms of appearance,
the current engineering prototype still uses the racetrack-shaped camera Deco design, while the power button has been changed to purple, further enhancing the recognizability of the device.
It’s worth noting that the blogger revealed that this wide-screen smartphone will primarily target the online market, positioning itself as more cost-effective and potentially further lowering the entry barrier for wide-screen smartphones.
Previous leaks suggested that the first Starlight model might be named O1 Pro, and it is expected to be available in three colors: Starry Black, Nebula White, and Starlight Purple.
Storage configurations include four versions: 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB.
In terms of performance, the phone is expected to be equipped with a Kirin 9 series chip, but the specific model has not yet been announced.
For reference, the Huawei Pura X View is Huawei’s first wide-screen smartphone, featuring a 6.39-inch 16:9.5 wide screen, powered by the Kirin 9030S chip, with a starting price of 5999 yuan.
If the Starlight O1 Pro is eventually launched at a more affordable price, it is expected to further enrich Huawei’s wide-screen phone product lineup and provide consumers with more choices.
