Domestic Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 flagship standard! OmniVision OV50Q first exposed
Blogger Digital Chat Station revealed a new sensor from OmniVision Group, OV50Q , which will be widely used in the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 flagship model.
It is reported that OV50Q has 50 million pixels, adopts a 1/1.3-inch large bottom, supports LOFIC technology, supports smooth frame transition and super frame synthesis, while improving focus speed and optimizing high dynamic range, and reducing power consumption.

Judging from the parameters, one of the killer features of OV50Q is “LOFIC”. The full name of this technology is Lateral OverFlow Integration Capacitor, and its Chinese name is lateral overflow integral capacitor technology.
The basic principle is to place a high-density capacitor on each photodiode of the mobile phone image sensor to collect photoelectrons that might have overflowed due to saturation.
When the number of photoelectrons converted by the photodiode exceeds the maximum limit it can carry, the excess photoelectrons will flow into the adjacent capacitor. In this way, when the mobile phone shoots a highlight scene, the highlight information will be retained, there will be no overexposure, and the output film will be closer to the light and shadow scene in reality.
