Honor released the Power model in April this year, and its biggest highlight is its super large battery, which is equipped with an 8000mAh battery, setting a new industry record at the time.

With the advancement of technology by various manufacturers, 8000mAh is no longer a rarity, but Honor is about to unveil a brand new killer feature.

The blogger Digital Chat Station revealed in an article today that the Honor Power 2 will be launched before the Spring Festival. The battery has been further improved compared to its predecessor, equipped with a super large capacity battery of 10080mAh±, once again breaking the industry record, and also supporting 80W fast charging.

Most importantly, the previous generation Honor Power was equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen3 chip, which was slightly weaker in performance. This time, the Honor Power 2 will be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 8500, which will greatly improve the performance experience.

It is reported that the Dimensity 8500 chip is built on TSMC’s 4nm process. The CPU adopts an 8-core Cortex-A725 all-big-core design, with the super-big core having a maximum frequency of 3.4GHz. It also integrates a Mali-G720 GPU with a stable frequency of around 1.5GHz.

This processor scores around 2.2 million on AnTuTu, placing it in the top tier of mid-range chips and comparable to some Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series products. It also offers a good gaming experience.

In addition to the chip and battery, the Honor Power 2 will feature a 6.79-inch 1.5K flat screen with a resolution of 2640*1200, a 50-megapixel rear camera, a 16-megapixel front camera, and will be available in three colors: Snow White, Midnight Black, and Sunrise Orange.
