Blogger Digital Chat Station revealed that the 12+512GB version of the Honor WIN2 will be eligible for national subsidies. In other words, its price will not exceed 5999 yuan, which can be said to be a direct “table-flipping” move by Honor.

This means that the Honor WIN2 series will become the lowest-priced Snapdragon 8EE6 model to date (Note: the sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Super Ultimate Edition, hereinafter referred to as Snapdragon 8EE6), making it highly competitive among similar flagship models.

It is understood that the Snapdragon 8EE6 is Qualcomm’s latest flagship platform, manufactured based on TSMC’s most advanced 2nm process. Positioned as a top-tier flagship, it is mainly used in Pro Max or Ultra models of various brands.

Its CPU uses a custom fourth-generation Oryon architecture, featuring two super cores with a maximum clock speed of 5.0GHz, and six performance cores with a maximum frequency of 4.0GHz. Compared to the previous generation, CPU performance is improved by 13% and energy efficiency by 37%. The GPU uses the new Adreno architecture, offering a 44% performance improvement and a 40% energy efficiency improvement.

To fully unleash the performance of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8EE6, the Honor WIN2 series also features a built-in active cooling fan. Internally, it creates a directional airflow, drawing in cool air from one side. This airflow passes over heat-generating components such as the chip and motherboard, absorbing heat before being expelled from the vents. This continuously transfers heat to the outside of the device, overcoming the limitations of passive cooling that relies solely on conduction and radiation.

In this way, active cooling can quickly reduce the core temperature, reduce the frequency reduction of the chip due to overheating, and make the performance more stable under long-term high load.

Currently, the Honor WIN2 series is available for pre-order on the Honor Mall, including three models: Honor WIN2, Honor WIN RT2, and Honor WIN Turbo2.

The Honor WIN2 is positioned as the highest-end model, available in three colors: Red & Blue Buff, Quick Black, and Designated Win, and offered in five configurations: 12GB+256GB, 16GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB. The new product will be officially released on October 21st.
