Fast Technology reported that Honor’s WIN series was officially launched last December. This phone was the first to be equipped with a 10000mAh Qinghai Lake large battery, leading the industry into the era of 10,000-mAh large batteries.
Less than a year later, the next flagship iteration of the Honor WIN series is about to debut. According to leaks, the Honor WIN2 series will be released as early as October, featuring not only a massive battery but also being among the first phones to utilize the 2nm Snapdragon 8E6 series flagship platform, making it currently the only phone to simultaneously possess a 2nm chip and a massive battery.
It is reported that the Honor WIN2 series is expected to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8E6 standard version chip. This chip uses TSMC’s N2P improved 2nm process, is equipped with a self-developed third-generation Orion architecture, and adopts an eight-core tri-cluster design with two super cores, three performance cores and three energy efficiency cores. It supports LPDDR5X memory and UFS 5.0 storage, and its overall performance is worth looking forward to.
To fully unleash the Snapdragon 8E6’s extreme performance, the Honor WIN2 series also features a built-in active cooling fan. This fan dissipates heat through rapid airflow, allowing the processor to maintain its performance for longer under high load and effectively preventing forced throttling due to overheating.
This means that when running demanding games or performing high-load scenarios such as video rendering, the visuals are smoother and more stable, with less frame rate fluctuation. At the same time, the surface temperature of the device is effectively controlled, preventing it from becoming noticeably hot to the touch during extended use, thus comprehensively improving the user experience under heavy load conditions.
It’s worth noting that due to the significant increase in the cost of memory and 2nm chips, the final price of the Honor WIN2 series is expected to rise. With comprehensive upgrades in performance, battery life, and heat dissipation, a price increase is inevitable.
However, this model still holds considerable appeal for users who prioritize ultimate performance and long battery life.
