According to blogger “Smart Pikachu,” Honor’s first wide folding phone will be released in January next year, boasting a rich accessory ecosystem.

According to previous leaks, the Honor Wide Folding phone adopts a 14:10 aspect ratio and features a 7.6-inch inner screen and a 5.5-inch outer screen. The outer screen is close to that of a regular candybar phone, so there is no need to unfold it for everyday tasks such as replying to messages and browsing navigation.

When unfolded, it has a similar appearance to an A4 sheet of paper—the black bars at the top and bottom of the screen almost disappear when watching videos, and there is no cramped space on either side when opening documents on the left or WeChat on the right when working in split screen mode. The field of view for landscape games is also much wider than that of a traditional 1:1 folding screen.

Compared to traditional large folding and vertical small folding, wide folding offers a new design approach for foldable screen products through its larger screen ratio.

Especially in high-frequency usage scenarios such as reading, watching videos, and working, a wider display ratio can reduce content cropping and white space, providing a larger effective display area in scenarios such as watching videos, reading novels, and reading comics, further enhancing the large-screen user experience.

In terms of performance, the device is expected to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen6 series flagship processor, using a 2nm process, making it the first foldable product in the Android camp to use a 2nm process.

The battery is equipped with approximately 7000mAh, the largest capacity among similarly sized foldable products, and supports 80W wired fast charging and 66W wireless charging, with the body weight controlled at around 220 grams.

The camera Deco has been redesigned with a horizontal layout, featuring a 200-megapixel main sensor, ARRI imaging technology, support for LogC3 cinematic curves and 10-bit video recording, and a periscope telephoto lens and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.

It features the built-in Honor H1 self-developed image chip, supporting professional shooting functions such as peak focus and false color monitoring.
