OnePlus CEO Li Jie officially announced today that the OnePlus 16 is the first to be equipped with a tri-frequency GPS plus a quad-frequency BeiDou satellite positioning system, resulting in faster positioning speeds and more accurate navigation.

This allows mobile phones to provide more stable positioning in urban canyons, under overpasses, and complex road environments using multi-frequency satellite signals, reducing yaw and positioning drift.

The OnePlus 16 is already available at OPPO stores nationwide, and users can experience it in person during the National Day holiday.

The OnePlus 16 is scheduled to be released on October 12th. It will be among the first flagship phones to be equipped with the sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Ultra. Its AnTuTu benchmark score has exceeded 5.63 million, the highest score ever, surpassing other competing models on the same platform.

The sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Ultra uses TSMC’s 2nm process, with the CPU clock speed exceeding 5.0GHz for the first time. It features an all-big-core architecture, resulting in a 13% improvement in CPU performance, a 44% improvement in GPU performance, a 37% improvement in CPU energy efficiency, and a 40% improvement in GPU energy efficiency.

In addition to the powerful performance of the SoC, the OnePlus 16 also collaborates with Qualcomm to create a new generation of gaming kernel, which directly writes chip-level gaming technology into the chip’s underlying layer, achieving native 185FPS full frame rate operation. Games such as PUBG Mobile can run at a stable 185 frames per second for a long time.

It is also equipped with a self-developed e-sports three-core: P4 super display chip, T3 Lingxi touch chip, and G3 e-sports network chip, which enhances the gaming experience from the three aspects of display, touch and network.

The screen is a 6.78-inch 1.5K BOE OLED flat screen with an ultra-narrow 1.15mm four-sided equal bezel design and golden large rounded corners, which further narrows the front bezel. It supports a 185Hz refresh rate and has a built-in 9000mAh battery.

The camera system features a triple-lens setup: a 200MP 1/1.4-inch main camera (f/1.6 aperture), a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens.
