According to Fast Technology on October 8, following the launch of the Pura X View, Huawei may further expand its lineup of wide-screen smartphones, potentially covering more product lines in the future.

Today, the well-known digital blogger “Digital Chat Station” revealed that Huawei has made moves to deploy a multi-product line of wide-screen smartphones, including the “n mid-range line” which is currently evaluating a wide-screen solution and is expected to be rolled out in the future.

Based on the leak, the “mid-range line” mentioned by the blogger likely refers to Huawei’s nova series. If this is ultimately confirmed, it means that Huawei’s wide-screen smartphones will no longer be limited to the high-end market, and are expected to further cover the mid-range price segment.

In fact, Huawei just launched its first wide-screen smartphone, the Pura X View, in September this year. The phone was officially released on September 7 and went on sale on September 9, with a starting price of 5,999 yuan.

In terms of configuration, the Pura X View features a 6.39-inch OLED screen with a 16:9.5 aspect ratio, supports a 120Hz refresh rate, is powered by a Kirin 9030S processor, runs HarmonyOS 7, and is equipped with a 7000mAh battery.

Compared to regular candybar phones, wide candybar phones have a wider screen ratio, increasing the horizontal display space and providing a different visual experience in scenarios such as reading, video playback, and gaming.

If the nova series also adopts a wide, straight design, it will further enrich Huawei’s product selection of wide-screen phones, and at the same time allow this new form factor to enter the purchasing range of more consumers.
