OPPO’s wide-screen prototype screen details revealed: LIPO ultra-narrow four-sided equal-bezel design
According to a report by well-known digital blogger Digital Chat Station on October 9th,
OPPO’s wide-screen smartphone prototype adopts a standard 16:9 screen ratio and features an LIPO ultra-narrow four-sided equal-bezel design. The screen bezel is estimated to be about 1mm, and the body width is about 81mm.

The screen ratio is a major highlight of this leak. For reference, the Huawei Pura X View wide candybar phone launched in September this year features a 6.39-inch 16:9.5 aspect ratio OLED screen with a resolution of 2232×1320, a bezel width of 1.05mm on all four sides, a screen-to-body ratio of 96.1%, and a body width of 87mm.
In contrast, the OPPO prototype revealed this time features a 16:9 aspect ratio and a body width of approximately 81mm, about 6mm narrower than the Huawei Pura X View. The two products differ in screen ratio and body size; OPPO may have placed greater emphasis on controlling the body width, and may have adopted different design philosophies in screen design and grip experience.
With the Huawei Pura X View’s initial market success, wide-screen smartphones have begun to attract more attention from manufacturers, providing them with new product design ideas.
Previous reports also indicated that Honor, in addition to OPPO, is also developing related products. Projects in various areas, including wide-screen smartphones for imaging, mid-range smartphones, and performance smartphones, have already entered the project initiation stage. If more manufacturers launch related products in the future, wide-screen smartphones are expected to create a more diverse product portfolio, covering different price points and user needs.
