According to feedback from Huawei users, the Huawei Mate 40 series received the official version of HarmonyOS  4.2 today.

The version number is 4.2.0.120 (SP1C00E100R6P6), which adds new functions such as shake permission management, WLAN network automatic connection switch, interactive themes, etc. The system package size is approximately 6.81 GB.

The models involved include Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro+, Mate 40 Pro 4G, Mate 40 RS Porsche Design, Mate 40 RS Porsche Design Collector’s Edition, Mate 40 E, Mate 40 E Pro, and Mate 40E 4G.

This update is basically the same as other models, with four new interactive themes added: Geometric Party, Geometric Stickers, Mood Party, and Mood Stickers.

It is reported that the mood theme has been expanded to support 1,500+ emoticons, and users can DIY their own themes according to their mood every day.

In addition, the system will interact with the theme by identifying the area where the human eye is looking. As the user’s eyes move up and down, the stickers will roll or even curl up and fold above or below the screen. When the user taps the sticker on the screen with his finger, a corner of the sticker will scroll with the gesture, which is very cute.

Xiaoyi suggested that scene cards can be displayed in stacks to improve the user experience of scene cards.

It is reported that the Mate 40 is equipped with the Kirin 9000E processor, while the Mate 40 Pro and Huawei Mate 40 Pro+ are equipped with the Kirin 9000 processor, and the Mate 40E series is equipped with the Kirin 9000L processor.

The Mate 40 is Huawei’s highlight product after it was sanctioned, and it is still used by many users. In particular, the Kirin 9000 series completely crushes Qualcomm Snapdragon. If it were not for the sanctions, Qualcomm would have been left far behind.
