Lenovo Y700 Gaming Tablet Previewed Ahead of Official Launch
Lenovo is reportedly gearing up to unveil the fifth generation Lenovo Y700 gaming tablet sometime next month. Ahead of the official launch, the company has already begun teasing the upcoming device on Weibo. Not long after these teasers surfaced, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station stepped in with further insights revealing several additional details about the upcoming gaming focused tablet.

The official teaser posters shared on Weibo confirm that the tablet will feature an 8.8 inch display with a resolution of 3040 x 1904 pixels. The panel supports a 165Hz refresh rate along with a 2640Hz touch sampling rate ensuring quicker response times during gaming sessions. It can reach up to 800 nits of maximum brightness and features 12 bit color depth. Based on these specifications the display is expected to be identical to the one used in last year’s version.
While the official poster does not provide any details about the display technology, it is likely that the tablet will use an LCD panel. This assumption is supported by information shared by a Weibo based tipster who has already confirmed the use of an LCD display.
In addition Digital Chat Station reports that the tablet will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and will support fast charging at up to 68W. The base configuration is said to include 12GB of RAM paired with 256GB of internal storage. Lenovo is also expected to cater to power users by offering higher end configurations with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage as well as a top tier variant featuring 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
The tablet is expected to pack a 9,000mAh battery marking a notable upgrade over the previous generation’s 7,600mAh unit. The larger battery should help offset the power demands of the high refresh rate display and the powerful chipset.
