Meizu officially announced that the entire Meizu 21 series supports 5.5G mobile communications.

These include Meizu 21, Meizu 21 Pro, and Meizu 21 Note. You only need to upgrade to the latest Flyme AIOS stable version (version number is Flyme 11.0.0.0A) to enable 5.5G network.

According to the official introduction, after the Meizu 21 series turns on 5.5G, the network downlink rate increases by up to 300%.

It is understood that 5.5G, also known as 5G-A, is regarded as the intermediate stage mobile communication technology in the transition from 5G to 6G. Although it still belongs to the 5G category, it has improved by about 10 times in terms of connection speed, latency, positioning, and reliability.

Its features include peak rates of 10Gbps downlink and 1Gbps uplink, millisecond-level latency, low cost, hundreds of billions of connected things, and space-ground integration (satellite Internet).

Industry insiders pointed out that it may be difficult for ordinary consumers to directly experience the advantages of 5.5G in the short term.

Mobile applications are basically unable to take full advantage of such high speeds, and 5.5G can only show its advantages when the network is congested.

It is reported that currently naked-eye 3D, XR, cloud phones and other applications are regarded as typical application scenarios of 5.5G. 5.5G will accelerate the upgrade of the five major connections of people, homes, objects, industries, and cars, and support the development of new experiences, new connections, and new businesses.
