Blogger Digital Chat Station revealed that the imaging solution for the OnePlus 16 has been officially finalized.

The phone features a 200MP 1/1.4-inch large-sensor main camera, a 50MP 1/1.95-inch Sony periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, with a 50MP front camera as well. In comparison, the OnePlus 16’s imaging configuration is the most outstanding among its flagship iterations.

It is worth noting that starting with the previous generation OnePlus 15, OnePlus no longer collaborates with the Soviet Union, and instead uses OPPO’s self-developed LUMO imaging system.

It is understood that the LUMO Light Condensation Imaging System is a mobile imaging solution tailored by OPPO for portrait photography, pursuing the four elements of environmental portraiture: clear subject, natural emotion, vivid colors, and three-dimensional space. It treats both the environment and the person as the main characters, aiming to bring users a more realistic and vivid portrait shooting experience.

The LUMO condensed light imaging system consists of three main parts: the ultra-sensitive computational optics system, the ultra-sensing digital imaging engine, and the full-link ProXDR true-color system. Among them, the ultra-sensitive computational optics system improves image quality through the mutual drive of powerful optical design and advanced computing capabilities.

The Ultra Vision Digital Imaging Engine processes image data and optimizes image quality; the end-to-end True Tone ProXDR restores true colors and enhances the three-dimensionality and depth of the image. Furthermore, the LUMO Light Condensation Imaging System integrates several advanced technologies, including an ultra-high-speed autofocus system, a multi-modal color acquisition system, and a high-precision depth-of-field acquisition system.

In terms of other hardware configurations, the OnePlus 16 will be the first to feature a new generation of Oriental Screen and will be among the first to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Super Edition flagship platform, pre-installed with the ColorOS 17 operating system. From imaging to performance, the OnePlus 16 has achieved significant upgrades in multiple dimensions.
