OnePlus’ first Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen5 is reportedly coming in November
Blogger Digital Chat Station revealed that OnePlus will be the first to launch a phone equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen5 platform (SM8845), and the first model will be a brand new product line opened up by OnePlus.
It is reported that OnePlus’ new product is equipped with a 6.83-inch 1.5K LTPS straight screen, a rear 50-megapixel main camera, a metal middle frame, supports 3D ultrasonic screen fingerprint, and a battery capacity of nearly 8000mAh. It is benchmarked against the Turbo series of its competitors and is tentatively scheduled to debut in November.

Leaked information shows that the Snapdragon 8 Gen5 is built based on TSMC’s 3nm process N3P (third-generation 3nm process) and adopts Qualcomm’s self-developed Oryon CPU architecture. It is equipped with 2+6 full-cores , abandoning the traditional small-core architecture and optimizing multi-threaded task processing capabilities through dynamic resource allocation.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen5’s AnTuTu comprehensive benchmark score is approaching 3 million points, putting its overall performance close to that of the Snapdragon 8 Elite. This will be Qualcomm’s new flagship chip. Starting with the Snapdragon 8 Gen5, Qualcomm has broken with its traditional “one chip per generation” strategy.
According to its positioning, the price of OnePlus’s new product, which is the first to launch Snapdragon 8 Gen5, is between 2,000 and 2,500 yuan.
