Release schedule drastically changed! REDMI K100 Pro Max to debut first: Standard version to be released later.
Fast Technology reported that blogger Digital Chat Station hinted at an adjustment to the release schedule of the REDMI K100 series. REDMI will reportedly launch the K100 Pro Max first, while the standard K100 will be released later. The blogger stated that the standard K100 has not yet been registered with the network, suggesting that REDMI has proactively adjusted its product release schedule.
According to leaked information, the K100 and K100 Pro Max continue the “one large, one small” product strategy of their predecessors. The standard REDMI K100 features a 6.59-inch “golden size” medium screen, balancing feel and display effect; while the REDMI K100 Pro Max uses a large 6.9-inch screen with a refresh rate of up to 185Hz, providing a smoother visual experience for games and high frame rate content.
In terms of core configuration, both models are equipped with the Snapdragon 8E5 flagship platform and have a battery capacity of up to 9000mAh. Moreover, the new phones will come pre-installed with the next-generation Surge OS operating system, which will bring further upgrades in system smoothness and cross-device interconnection experience.
It’s worth mentioning that another major selling point of the REDMI K100 Pro Max is its outstanding sound quality. The device will be equipped with master-level symmetrical dual speakers, achieving industry-leading levels in both external sound quality and volume, providing users with a more immersive listening experience whether watching movies or playing games.
Regarding pricing, amidst the industry-wide surge in memory chip prices, many brands have already raised prices on older models. It’s expected that the REDMI K100 series will also see a price increase, but the rise is anticipated to be lower than that of competing products in the same segment.
Xiaomi Group President Lu Weibing previously stated that the pricing of all flagship phones is currently directly affected by the rising cost of memory. Based on current industry trends, the memory price increase is expected to continue until at least the end of 2027, and may not gradually ease until 2028.
