Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is reported to use 7-core Snapdragon 8 Elite chip

Samsung’s thinnest flagship phone, the Galaxy S25 Edge, may be equipped with a 7-core version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, namely the SM8750-3-AB .
Currently, there are three versions of Snapdragon 8 Elite, namely SM8750-AB, SM8750-AC and SM8750-3-AB.
Among them, SM8750-AB is the standard version of Snapdragon 8 Elite, which uses 2×4.32GHz super cores and 6×3.53GHz large cores, a total of 8 cores, and built-in Adreno 830 1100MHz GPU.
SM8750-AC is an overclocked version of Snapdragon 8 Elite, which uses 2×4.47GHz super cores and 6×3.53GHz large cores for a total of 8 cores, and has a built-in Adreno 830 1200MHz GPU.
SM8750-3-AB is the 7-core version of Snapdragon 8 Elite, which uses 2× 4.32GHz super cores and 5×3.53GHz large cores for a total of 7 cores, and has a built-in Adreno 830 1100MHz GPU.
Sources revealed that the performance of SM8750-3-AB has slightly declined, with the AnTuTu score decreasing by about 2% and the Geekbench 6 multi-core test score decreasing by about 7% .
As a flagship model featuring a slim and lightweight design, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge uses the 7-core Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, probably to strike a balance between performance, heat dissipation and body design.
