Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7/Flip7 pre-sale volume breaks record in South Korea
Samsung Electronics announced today that from July 15 to 21, the pre-sale volume of Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 in South Korea reached 1.04 million units, setting a new record for the fastest Z series to break one million, an increase of 14% from 910,000 units in the same period last year .
Among them, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7’s pre-sale share exceeded 60% for the first time, thanks to its “big slimming down” with a thickness reduced by 26% and weight reduced at the same time compared to its predecessor, completely reversing the situation where Flip was more popular before.
Samsung’s MX department revealed that the thinnest part of the Z Fold7 is only 11 mm, and the crease on the screen almost disappears to the naked eye when unfolded; while the Z Flip7 continues to focus on portability, with the external screen upgraded to an ultra-narrow 1.25 mm bezel that can be held in one hand.
During the pre-sale period, the proportion of female users increased from 35% to 47%, showing that the lightweight strategy successfully broke the “heavy” stereotype.
Following the record-breaking performance of the S25 series in the first half of the year, the Z series has once again become the mainstay of Samsung’s mobile phone performance.
The company plans to launch its first triple-foldable screen mobile phone in the second half of the year to counter the folding offensive from Apple and Chinese manufacturers.
