Samsung unveils its tri-fold screen: it differs from Huawei’s solution.
Fast Technology reported that Samsung showcased its new Galaxy Z TriFold, a tri-fold screen device, in South Korea . This is the first tri-fold screen device in Android history.
It is reported that the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold was exhibited inside a glass case and could not be handled. The phone adopts a G-shaped folding design, which is completely different from the S-shaped folding design of the Huawei Mate XTs. Its two screens fold towards the middle. The thickness in the unfolded state is 4.2mm, and the thickness in the folded state is 1.2cm-1.5cm. The crease is almost invisible. The outer screen size is 6.5 inches, and the inner screen size is 10 inches.
The new product will be officially released in November, and analysts predict that it will be priced at around $2,800, which is about RMB 19,900.
