Snapdragon 8 Gen4 has a very long battery life! Redmi K80 Pro battery reportedly exceeds 6000mAh

blogger Digital Chat Station hinted that the battery capacity of Redmi K80 Pro has exceeded 6000mAh. Compared with the 5000mAh of the previous generation K70 series, the battery capacity of K80 Pro has been greatly improved . This is the model with the largest battery in the history of the K series.

Thanks to the advancement of battery technology, new flagships including the Redmi K80 Pro will be upgraded to a new generation of silicon-carbon negative electrode batteries, allowing large batteries with a capacity of more than 6000mAh to be stuffed into a relatively thin body.

It is reported that the negative electrode material of traditional batteries is graphite, which has the advantages of wide source, low price and mature technology, but the theoretical specific capacity of graphite is only 340~370mAh/g.

In comparison, the specific capacity of silicon-based negative electrode materials can be as high as 4200mAh/g, which can greatly improve the energy density of the battery.

The principle is that the silicon atoms in the silicon-carbon negative electrode can absorb more lithium ions and store more energy, which leads to a higher specific capacity. Combined with improvements in the positive electrode material and electrolyte, a higher battery energy density can be achieved.

In addition to the ultra-large capacity battery, Redmi K80 Pro also uses a 2K straight screen and is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen4 platform. The new product will be unveiled in November.
