Fast Technology reported that OPPO’s legal department issued a notice stating that a netizen surnamed Gao has been administratively detained and fined by the police for repeatedly fabricating and spreading false information about the quality of the OnePlus Ace 3 product.

OPPO stated that recently, Gao has repeatedly published false information about the quality of the OnePlus Ace 3 on platforms such as Douyin, Kuaishou, and Weibo, misleading the public and causing serious damage to the reputation of OPPO and the OnePlus brand.

Upon discovering the situation, OPPO immediately reported it to the police.

Police investigation revealed that Gao’s actions violated Article 29, Paragraph (1) of the “Law of the People’s Republic of China on Penalties for Administration of Public Security,” constituting the act of intentionally spreading rumors and disrupting public order. The police, in accordance with the law, decided to impose administrative detention and a fine on him.

It is understood that the OnePlus Ace 3 was released in January 2024, with a starting price of 2,599 yuan.

This phone was the first to feature a 1.5K Oriental screen and received the highest level of DisplayMate A+ certification, setting 18 display records. It was the candybar phone screen that broke the most display records at the time.
