The first AURORA phone in Taiwan has been delivered: priced over 200,000 yuan.
Dreame’s cross-industry venture into smartphones is clearly progressing steadily, and its first product has already completed its first order delivery, achieving actual sales.
According to domestic media reports, a person in charge of Dreame’s mobile phone business publicly revealed on WeChat Moments that the company has officially delivered the 001 AURORA mobile phone, which is the first mass-produced model of Dreame’s first high-end mobile phone.
The person in charge also posted the transaction receipt, showing that the total transaction amount of US$30,000 had been successfully received, including an initial payment of US$10,000 and a final payment of US$21,184 (equivalent to more than RMB 200,000).
In his caption, he directly stated that this is the highest-priced flagship smartphone ever sold in the history of China’s smartphone development.
Judging from the simultaneously released images, this first delivered special edition phone not only features the signature of Dreame founder Yu Hao on the back cover, but also comes with a collector’s certificate with a unique serial number. The certificate information shows that the entire phone is made of 24K pure gold and inlaid with custom-made rare gemstones, positioning it as an ultra-high-end collectible.
Previously, Liu Yang, head of Dreame’s AURORA mobile phone business, publicly stated in a media interview that the starting price of this brand-new model developed by his team would be higher than that of the entire iPhone 17 series released by Apple at the same time.
According to the pricing strategy previously revealed by Liu Yang , the price of each configuration level of the Dreame AURORA phone will be about 20% higher than that of the iPhone 17, 17 Pro, and Pro Max in the same price range, directly targeting or even surpassing Apple’s top flagship series in terms of pricing.
His pricing rationale is that the team’s self-developed AIOS system offers a better overall interactive experience than Apple’s. Currently, Apple’s AI-related functions still have significant shortcomings. Dreame can achieve comprehensive functional leadership in the full-scenario AI experience on the device side, and this additional incremental experience is more than enough to support a higher product price.
He further explained that the underlying logic of the premium price of high-end products is that scarcity makes things valuable. Simply piling up hardware parameters does not have a high technical threshold. Top-notch exclusive aesthetic design is also one of the core selling points of the product. The unique aesthetic experience that it can bring to users is itself an additional functional increment, which is fully worthy of the corresponding higher price.
According to the currently disclosed project progress, Dreame AURORA mobile phone is planned to be officially released and fully launched in the fourth quarter of this year. The entire product line is divided into three tiers: flagship version, modular photography flagship version, and high-end customized version, with prices ranging from 10,000 yuan to 100,000 yuan, directly entering the ultra-high-end blank market that domestic mobile phones have rarely touched before.
