iQOO 16 features a 2K Samsung screen and a 2nm chip:
According to multiple sources, the iQOO 16 will be among the first phones to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8E6 Pro flagship platform, along with a 6.85-inch 2K resolution Samsung OLED screen supporting a 165Hz refresh rate. The back will also feature a square camera design in the upper left corner.
Among the flagship models of its sub-brands, the iQOO 16 will be the only performance flagship to simultaneously feature a 2K Samsung screen and a 2nm Snapdragon 8E6 Pro processor. Looking back at its predecessor, the iQOO 15, launched in the second half of last year, featured a new generation 2K Samsung Everest screen.
This screen was jointly developed by iQOO and Samsung, and is the world’s first to feature 2K LEAD OLED technology. This technology innovatively eliminates the polarizing layer in traditional OLED screens, replacing it with a nano-lithography filter film, which increases light transmission efficiency by 40%, reduces power consumption by 44%, and extends screen lifespan by 50%.
In terms of specifications, this screen uses Samsung’s M14 luminescent material, supports an adaptive refresh rate of 1 to 144Hz LTPO, has a manual peak brightness of 1000 nits, a full-screen peak brightness of 2600 nits, and a local peak brightness of up to 6000 nits. It covers 118% of the P3 color gamut and supports Dolby Vision. Combined with a pixel density of 508 PPI, the display effect is extremely clear and delicate.
As expected, the iQOO 16 will continue to be equipped with the new generation 2K Samsung Everest screen, and will achieve further breakthroughs in multiple dimensions such as display effect, eye protection performance and power consumption control.
In terms of core configuration, the iQOO 16 will be among the first to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8E6 Pro chip. This chip adopts a third-generation Orion 2+3+3 tri-cluster octa-core CPU architecture, equipped with 16MB of L2 cache, paired with an Adreno 850 GPU and 18MB of dedicated graphics cache, and supports LPDDR6 high-speed memory, providing a solid hardware foundation for the overall performance release of the device.
This phone is expected to be officially released around October and is poised to become one of the most powerful high-end flagship phones in the Android camp. Overall, the iQOO 16 demonstrates strong competitiveness in terms of screen, performance, and positioning, making it worthy of continued attention.
